We’re looking for volunteer van drivers, to help us transport donations and dogs.

It’s a role that connects many parts of our busy charity, and helps to keep things running smoothly.

What activities will I be involved in?

This role is varied and interesting, working across all parts of Hope Rescue.

The primary activity will be driving the charity’s vans and transporting donated stock between the three shops in south Wales. Ideally, this will be once a week (as arranged with your line manager).

Occasionally, you may also be asked to transport dogs to and from the rescue centre, vets, local homes and other partner locations. You will always undertake this activity with the assistance of another member of the Hope Rescue team.

Hope Rescue drivers must be aged 18 or over and have a valid driving licence, which includes driving a large wheelbase transit.

Drivers should be able to lift dogs in and out of the vehicle safely (training is provided) and should have the ability to lift bags and boxes of donated goods into and out of the vehicle as well as up and down stairs within each shop.

If you're interested in hearing more about the above roles or have any questions about volunteering, please complete our online form.
