Hope Rescue’s events programme has something for everyone.

From indoor events, such as curry and quiz nights, our Annual Ball, and afternoon tea, to our outdoor summer events, such as our popular dogs shows and Barking Mad month, you can join a friendly and dynamic team of volunteers.

What does an events volunteer do?

Whether it’s manning a stand at an event, a cheer point at a challenge or guiding supporters one of our events, our volunteers play a vital role in making events happen. Once you’re in as an event volunteer it’s very easy to get hooked.

For some people it’s the excitement of event day and meeting new people. For others, it’s developing new skills but most of all our volunteers are passionate about making a difference to the lives of dogs that find themselves in our care.

As an event volunteer you may be asked to:

· meet and greet participants and spectators

· help set up and clear down the event

· support participants as a marshalling,

· cheering or handing out refreshments

· help with administration and managing the key stalls and event areas

Along with having great communication and interpersonal skills, we ask that you are:

· flexible and willing to volunteer outdoors

· enthusiastic about the Hope Rescue and helping at events

· willing to work as part of a team.
