On the 9th of March 2024, amidst the beautiful surroundings of Bryngarw House in Bridgend, the first-ever charity ball hosted by Hope Rescue took place.

It was an evening full of joy, compassion, and a shared love for our four-legged companions. Attendees put on their best attire and helped create a truly special event.

Setting the scene

The evening began with a sparkling drinks reception, kindly sponsored by Elizabeth Jones Law, in the twinkling conservatory of Bryngarw House. As guests mingled, they were serenaded by the beautiful vocal talents of Charlotte Richards and Enud Davies, setting the stage for an unforgettable night ahead.

As we moved into the main suite, the evening unfolded with a series of engaging activities aimed at raising funds to help care for the dogs at Hope Rescue.

The silent auction, expertly hosted by BidAid, offered an array of incredible items, as well as a live (very lively) auction which included prizes such as a week's stay at a picturesque cottage in Cyprus.

We would like to thank the many individuals and local businesses such as Jewelled Phoenix, Be True Massage Skincare Wellbeing, and PGA professional Joe Francis, who donated raffle prizes.

For a great cause

Amidst the enthusiasm of fundraising, the founder of Hope Rescue kindly shared poignant insights into the charity's mission and it’s 19-year history in the animal welfare sector.

Their heartfelt words provided a strong reminder of the important work the charity continues to do, and the positive impact each person can have by coming together and helping the most at-risk dogs in need of kindness, care, and compassion.

A highlight of the evening was the captivating performance by Rio Scibona, whose melodic tunes spanned many genres from classical to pop. His music provided the perfect backdrop as guests tucked into a delicious three-course meal. He closed the night with an energetic set as guests filled the dancefloor in high spirits. He really is a must-see performer!

Thank you

The success of the evening would not have been possible without the generous support of MobiVET, our main sponsor, whose unwavering commitment to the care and welfare of animals brought us together.

The magic of the evening was captured by Emma from With Love Photography, who kindly spent her time behind the lens candidly photographing the festivities.

We are pleased to announce that the Hope Rescue Ball raised over £10,000, and as we reflect on this unforgettable evening, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who contributed their time, resources, and support to make it a resounding success.
