We are appealing for information after this wee pup was found abandoned in a garden in Bridgend this morning. Sadly she was found with her sibling who had already died. We've done a snap test for parvo which was thankfully negative, but will also be doing a post mortem on the dead little girl pup to establish the cause of death. If you have any information as to who abandoned these puppies please ring us on 01443 226659 in confidence.
Chocolate, as the family who found her have named her, is full of worms and unsurprisingly has a low body temperature. We'll be making sure she gets the best care now, and have everything crossed she will recover.
It's relentless right now. Every single day strays are pouring through our doors at an alarming rate. We're also working tirelessly behind the scenes with enforcement agencies supporting them with welfare cases and seizures. We have never known it so bad. As a rescue that chooses to deal with the most vulnerable dogs in our sector and helping dogs from the the most challenging situations, we really are up against it right now. As you can appreciate, this means our vet costs are also rising sharply, not to mention the increased cost of living rises in our day to day expenses. If you are able to support us with a donation at this difficult time, please do so today.
You can make a one-off or regular donation here.
You can also donate on Facebook, Instagram, by calling us on 01443 226659 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) or by texting HOPERESCUE followed by your donation amount to 70085. Texts cost your donation plus one standard network rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more from us. Text HOPERESCUENOINFO to donate but opt out.
We’ll keep you updated on Chocolate's progress, and are so grateful for your continued support for the Hope Rescue dogs.
