A Dog That Proves Beauty is Skin Deep

This lovely boy came to us last week as a stray and in an awful state. He has a severe skin condition called Mange, which caused fur loss all over his body and his skin to become very sore and inflamed due to scratching. Yet even through his discomfort we could see the sweet and loving character that lies beneath his poorly looking skin.

We immediately took Robyn to the vets where he was started on treatment including oral medication and medicated baths. His skin scrape test showed all the mites on his skin have now died off and his skin is already looking a lot less red and painful. He still has a long way to go in recovery, but this sweet, friendly boy is doing well and coping with his regular baths.

We don’t know how Robyn came to be a stray or how his skin condition became so neglected but now he’s in our care we’ll make sure he gets the treatment, love and attention he deserves.
