Hank and Nala were surrendered into our care not too long. Both are soft-natured, beautiful dogs. They came in with Ella who recently gave birth in our care. This not so little family have certainly kept us on our toes since their arrival.

With Ella giving birth to her pups recently, Nala undergoing surgery for entropion (a condition in which the eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the dog's sensitive cornea) and Hank being diagnosed with mild hip-dysplasia and a chronic ear infection, we’re working very hard to ensure they each receive the best care and treatment possible.

Last month, we received 89 calls from members of the public asking for help surrendering their dog or dogs. Although this number is slightly less than September, we saw more stray dogs come into our care than we have all year. We are working so hard right now to ensure we can provide the best level of care and attention for every dog that pads its little paws through our doors, but we need to ask for your continued help to do so.

We currently have more than 200 dogs in our care and unfortunately, we do not see this number slowing down any time soon. We’ve outlined below what a donation as little as £5 can do, so if you can help please do.

  • £5 helps ensure our dogs get the enrichment they need
  • £10 will contribute towards essential vet checks
  • £20 means we can vaccinate a dog, keeping them healthy

You can donate through our Facebook or Instagram page or online. You can also donate by calling 01443 226659 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) or text HOPERESCUE followed by your donation to 70085. Texts cost one standard network rate message plus your donation and you’ll be opting in to receive info from us. Text HOPERESCUENOINFO to donate but opt out.

Thank you so much from Hank and Nala and all the wonderful dogs in our care. Every dog is different but we know they’d all say the same big thank you if they could.
