As his name suggests, Newton is a clever boy who loves learning new things. He thrives on positive training and enjoys having opportunities to use his brain, making him a fantastic companion for owners who enjoy teaching new tricks, playing enrichment games and exploring the world together.

Newton is a social lad who can get a little overexcited when meeting other dogs, enthusiastically trying to invite everyone to join in the fun! He could potentially live with another playful, well-matched dog following successful introductions, or would be equally happy as the only dog in the home, provided he has plenty of canine friends to enjoy walks and adventures with.

He has previously lived with cats and may be able to share his home with a dog-confident cat in the future, pending careful introductions and owners who are happy to manage the relationship as everyone settles in.

Newton can find being left home alone difficult, so he is looking for a family where someone is around for the majority of the day initially. His adopters should be prepared to gradually build up his confidence with being left, helping him feel safe and secure at his own pace.
