It was Christmas 2021, and we all hoped for a miracle for two puppies.

They arrived in our care after being found dumped in a bin. Both were extremely malnourished, weak and suffering with skin conditions. Our team supported them around the clock with IV treatment and medicated baths, calling the Parsnip and Sprout in line with the festive season. 

Both were tested for Parvo and initial tests were clear but secondary tests after a drop in their condition showed the disease was present in them both. Love came flooding in from all over South Wales and beyond. We felt all the well wishes, thoughts and prayers that were being sent to us.

But sadly, we lost Parsnip and then on Christmas Eve we said goodbye to Sprout as well. They have been in our thoughts since the moment we met them. Although their story is extremely sad and sits with us always, we were glad to have been able to show them some human compassion and love before the end. 

Thanks to the extra space in Parsnip and Sprout’s suite, big boy Franklin is the current resident.

He is currently waiting for his forever home, but is able to relax in the extra space afforded by this special kennel while he waits.
