  2. Exercise paddock

Exercise paddock for hire

You can enjoy private use of Hope Rescue's training paddock in spring and summer, which is surrounded by specialist dog-proof fencing to give you a secure space for some off-lead or long-lead training with your dog.

** Please note that our paddock is closed over the winter months, from 1 November to 31 March **

Each booking will last for 30 minutes, which will give you plenty of time to exercise your dog with a 15 minute change-over time between sessions so that you and your dog can enjoy the space in private. This is especially valuable for dogs who are nervous or uncomfortable around other dogs.

The cost is just £5 per half hour session.

Our address is Hope Rescue, Old Llanharry Road, Llanharran, CF72 9NH (for satnav use CF72 9RA)

Once your booking is complete, you will receive an email with information on how to access the paddock area.

Please make your booking by completing the online form here.

Conditions of hire

  • Your dog(s) must be fully vaccinated in order to use the paddock. Please email a photo or scan of your vet card to [email protected] ahead of your booking.
  • Please stick to your allocated time so that others may also enjoy the space they have booked.
  • Please leave the paddock in good time so that you do not cross over with other users who may have nervous dogs.
  • Please pick up any dog poo and place in the bin provided.

How do I access the paddock?

The paddock is located on Old Llanharry Road, on the opposite side to the Rescue Centre.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes, because we have unvaccinated dogs and strays on site, it is important that your dog is fully vaccinated.

Are there minimum age requirements to use the paddock?

Minimum age for booking and using the paddock area is 18, children may accompany their parents but should be supervised at all times.

Where can I park?

There is a parking space directly outside the paddock gate.

What can I bring with me?

Please bring your own leads, equipment and training treats. You should also provide water for your dog.

Who do I contact with any questions?

If you have any difficulties using the paddock, please call the centre on 01443 226 659 during office hours.

What is your refund policy?

A full refund will be given if you cancel at least 7 days ahead of your session, no refund will be given after this.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring your printed email confirmation or have it available for a member of staff to view on your mobile phone.

You can make your booking by completing the online form.
