Please whisper a gentle hello to newborns - Roastie, Gravy, Wellington, Brie, Cracker and Pudding (yes, we’re feeling festive vibes). Six little wonders delivered into our care by Ella; a beautiful red Dogue de Bordeaux who recently arrived with us as a surrendered dog.

Due to financial reasons and a house move, Ella and two other Dogue de Bordeaux’s were surrendered together, which we know wasn’t easy, but we are very grateful to the owners for surrendering them responsibly.

Ella is doing very well and proving to be a good mum to her wiggly new brood. Her delivery went as smoothly as possible, with two members of our Welfare team supporting her labour during the early hours of last Wednesday morning.

Over the coming weeks Ella’s little ones will soon begin to find their paws and begin to explore the world around them. Ella will be receiving lots of extra TLC as she is working very hard caring for her puppies. Although puppy rearing is a very rewarding experience it is also very costly, over the next few weeks we’ll incur costs to ensure they are having all their needs met; costs that your donations greatly help us to cover.
