Handsome Cockapoo Toby is still waiting for his forever home, more than 1,500 days since arriving in the care of Hope Rescue.

He had a very sad start to life in a puppy farm, where he was kept in isolation for most of the time. Poor Toby was completely shut down when he first arrived and would hide away from people.

Thanks to the patience, love and care of his foster family, Toby has gained in confidence and now knows that there is a better life ahead.

Everyone at Hope Rescue is longing to find the perfect home for Toby, after such a long time in our care.

Toby is 10 years old and loves going on walks. He is sometimes unsure when meeting new dogs for the first time, but responds really well when given reassurance.

The perfect new owner for Toby would need lots of patience and live in an adult only home with a secure garden.

Toby has epilepsy which is under control through ongoing medication, and Hope Rescue can support owners with this.

Stuart McCarthy-Thompson of Hope Rescue says,

“Every dog at Hope Rescue deserves their second chance but, having had such a difficult start, it’s particularly important for Toby.

Anyone spending time with him will see that he’s still a pup at heart and we know there is a home just waiting for him to arrive and settle in.”
