Our gorgeous Slinky dog arrived in our care as a stray in a bit of a sorry state.

She was overweight, had patchy fur, and appeared very subdued. With a bit of TLC from our team she is now much happier and ready to find her forever home.

The perfect home

Slinky is a gentle giant who adores human company. Slinky thrives on human contact and enjoys gentle fuss and affection from her favourite humans. With her gentle nature, she's a great fit for home with children aged 12 and above.

Slinky can be strong on the lead when excited, therefore her new owner/s will need to be able to manage her strength whilst continuing to teach her how to walk nicely on a lead.

Slinky is lacking in confidence around other dogs. She can be vocal and anxious around unfamiliar dogs, but with the right guidance, she's showing good improvement.  It's essential for her new family to support her in building confidence around other dogs gradually. The team at Hope will be able to support adopters with this. Slinky can build a relationship with walking buddies overtime but wants to be the only dog at home.

Slinky is a curious soul who loves to use her nose to explore her surroundings. Her favourite place at the rehoming centre is our woodland area, where she can indulge her senses and investigate to her heart's content. Slinky also really enjoys enrichment activities, making her an ideal companion for someone who loves to engage their furry friend in fun and stimulating activities.

Slinky will need support with house training and would need her time left at home alone to be built up slowly.

She's a smart girl with heaps of potential, and with the right encouragement, she'll blossom into the perfect canine companion.
