Salary: £25,000 pro rata (Actual Salary £16,650)

At Hope Rescue, every dog deserves the opportunity to live a happy, safe and loved life. Thanks to the incredible support of our local communities, fundraisers and volunteers, we're able to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of dogs every year. 

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Community Fundraising Officer to help grow our grassroots fundraising programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting volunteers and creating memorable fundraising experiences that make a real difference. 

What you’ll be doing 

As our Community Fundraising Officer, you'll be at the heart of our supporter engagement activities, helping individuals, groups and communities raise vital funds for Hope Rescue. 

You'll: 

  • Be the first point of contact for community fundraising enquiries, providing outstanding supporter care and guidance 

  • Support local fundraisers, schools, community groups and supporters to run successful fundraising activities 

  • Coordinate and grow key fundraising income streams including collection tins, store collections, community stalls and local events 

  • Help develop and support a network of fundraising volunteers 

  • Build strong relationships with supporters and encourage long-term engagement with Hope Rescue 

  • Manage in-memory fundraising activities and supporter-led campaigns 

  • Support social media fundraising initiatives and online community campaigns 

  • Maintain accurate records using our CRM system and track fundraising performance 

  • Work closely with colleagues across fundraising, retail, volunteering and communications teams to maximise opportunities and income 

  • Attend fundraising and community events as a representative of Hope Rescue 

What we’re looking for 

We're looking for someone who: 

  • Has excellent organisational skills and enjoys managing multiple activities and deadlines 

  • Is a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with a wide range of people 

  • Has experience in fundraising, customer service, administration, events or community engagement 

  • Can work independently whilst also being a collaborative team player 

  • Is comfortable using databases, CRM systems and Microsoft Office 

  • Enjoys supporting and motivating volunteers and community supporters 

  • Shares our passion for animal welfare and helping dogs find loving homes
