Fluorine is a lively, curious and sociable Pointer who loves to explore the world around her. She is affectionate with people, enjoys plenty of fuss, and is always keen to interact, although she can be very bouncy when greeting and may jump up when excited. She will suit adopters who enjoy an active, expressive dog and are happy to help her develop calmer ways of engaging with people.

The perfect home

Although full of enthusiasm, Fluorine has led quite a sheltered life and has had very little experience of the outside world. New places and situations can sometimes feel overwhelming for her, so she is looking for patient adopters who understand that she is still learning and may never have experienced the stability of a loving home. With time, reassurance and consistent guidance, she has so much potential to flourish.

Fluorine is looking for an outdoorsy home where her natural curiosity and energy can be channelled appropriately. She would love woodland walks, beach trips, hiking and plenty of opportunities to sniff and explore. Like many Pointers, she is highly motivated by movement and scent, and she can become frustrated when she wants to investigate but is restricted by the lead.

At the moment, Fluorine pulls strongly on the lead and will benefit from patient handling, a secure garden, regular access to safe off-lead spaces, and adopters who are committed to continuing her reward-based training. She is highly food motivated and enjoys enrichment such as chews, snuffle mats, puzzle feeders and Kongs, making these great ways to keep both her body and mind busy.

Fluorine is looking to be the only dog in the home, with adopters who can help her build confidence and manage her frustrations around other dogs. Due to her size and enthusiastic nature, she would be best suited to a home with children aged 14 years and over.
