Spring Duck Race

On Saturday 18th May 2024 we will once again see 1000 yellow ducks head down the river at Swan Meadows in Abergavenny to help the dogs at Hope Rescue. The ducks will launch from the road bridge over the river, then travel downstream, navigating boulders, steep drops and pond weeds before being collected by our team of Hope Rescue volunteers (don't forget your wellies guys!).

Each duck costs £1 and the first across the finish line is the winner. 

You are most welcome to come along to cheer on your duck, but you don't have to be present on the day to take part. You can simply log on to our Facebook Live to see the fastest duckie swim across the finish line, along with a few wet volunteers!

Don't forget, the lucky winner will get the prize of £100.

All duck numbers will be emailed out prior to the race and EVERY single duck will be caught in our nets to prevent them travelling any further.
