We're looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of our buildings, grounds and infrastructure across all Hope Rescue sites including our Retail Branches. This is far more than a maintenance role, you'll shape the future of our facilities, lead exciting capital projects and ensure our charity has the safe, sustainable and efficient environment it needs to continue changing dogs' lives. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Support Services, you'll lead all aspects of facilities management across the organisation, from statutory compliance and preventative maintenance through to asset management, refurbishment projects and contractor management. You'll work closely with senior leaders to develop long-term plans for our estate, improve sustainability, oversee maintenance programmes and help deliver capital investment projects that directly support the welfare of the dogs in our care. What you'll be doing Lead facilities, estates and maintenance activities across Hope Rescue's sites. Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation. Develop and implement our long-term Asset Management Plan. Manage maintenance contractors, suppliers and external specialists. Deliver refurbishment and capital projects from concept through to completion. Oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. Manage facilities budgets and secure value for money. Drive improvements in sustainability, energy efficiency and operational effectiveness. Produce reports and recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees. Act as the point of contact for Health & Safety issues and reporting. Help create safe, welcoming environments for our dogs, staff, volunteers and visitors. About you We're looking for someone who is practical, organised and solutions focused, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities across a busy and varied organisation. You'll ideally have: Proven facilities or estates management experience within a complex or multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance. Experience managing contractors and delivering capital or refurbishment projects. Excellent planning, budgeting and organisational skills. The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation. A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills. A full UK driving licence. Qualifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety or Project Management (such as IWFM, IOSH, NEBOSH or PRINCE2) would be advantageous, as would experience within the charity, public or animal welfare sectors.
