Two-year-old dachshund cross Dinky arrived in our care late in the evening, in need of an urgent C-section.

She had delivered her first puppy early that morning but, sadly, this pup was stillborn. The second puppy had become stuck, and Dinky was exhausted.

With both her and the pup at serious risk, we rushed Dinky to the vets where she underwent an emergency C-section. Dinky had one (rather large!) male puppy who we have named Hugo.  We are delighted to share Mum and baby are doing well in a wonderful whelping foster home.

Both Dinky and her baby will need lots of TLC for a while to ensure they both go on to enjoy their best lives.

Without Hope Rescue, sadly, it is unlikely Dinky, or her surviving pup, would have made it.  We can only help dogs like Dinky and provide lifesaving veterinary care with your support.  Without your help we know this story would have a very different ending.

Please donate whatever you can to help us raise funds to pay for Dinky and her pup’s emergency vet care. Thank you.
