A broken heart we’re hoping a Christmas miracle can mend!

A few days ago, we took in a beautiful chocolate Labradoodle puppy surrendered into our care due to financial difficulties. We’ve named her Cranberry. Sadly, Cranberry has been diagnosed with a heart defect known as a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). It’s a serious condition that if not corrected will lead to her death.

So far, Cranberry is proving to be a happy and playful little puppy with a lot to live for, so to us and no doubt you, we cannot let this hapen to her. Aside from her poorly heart she’s young and in very good health, so there’s no reason for us to believe this surgery wouldn’t be a success and she’ll go on to enjoy a full and happy life but just to be safe we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle.

The surgery that could save her life is costly at £4,500. This is before any costs associated with her after care. We’re going to need to dig deep on this one, but we know that although the bill is steep, it’s Cranberry’s best chance of survival.

At Hope Rescue, we’re used to breaking our own hearts so we can mend the hearts of the dogs we care for, but this tiny girl’s heart is quite literally one we can only fix with the help of all our hearts. We recognise this is a big ask but if you can help us make a dent in this bill please donate today.

You can donate to us using the link below or via our Facebook or Instagram pages. You can also donate by texting CRANBERRY followed by your donation to 70085. Texts cost one standard network rate message and you'll be opting in to hear more from us. Text CRANBERRYNOINFO to donate but opt out.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and from the little broken one that needs your help right now.
