The Hope Rescue Charity Shop has suffered horrendous flooding. The shop does an amazing job raising funds for the Hope Rescue dogs, and without this income stream we will have to turn away vulnerable dogs that need us. Can you help?

Sadly the Hope Rescue Charity Shop has been affected by the horrendous flooding across South Wales caused by Storm Dennis. The River Taff burst its banks and Taff Street was under water.

The Charity Shop does an amazing job raising funds for the Rescue Centre, and without this additional income stream we may have to turn away vulnerable dogs that need our help. Sadly it doesn't look like we will be able to open the shop again very soon as the flood waters contain dangerous contaminants which will need specialist cleaning and the plasterboard and shop-fittings are soaked with contaminated water.

Our shop raises over £9,000 every month which enables us to care for around 22 rescue dogs. So the prospect of closing for up to three months to refit is devastating.

So we are asking for your help to ensure that the dogs at the rescue centre won't miss out while we get the shop back up and running.

1. Make a donation - Please contribute what you can to our flood appeal and don't forget to add Gift Aid too

2. Create a fundraising page - Set up your very own fundraising page to ask for donations from your friends, family and colleagues. You can do this on JustGiving or Facebook 

3. Offer an item for our emergency auction - We're looking for high-ticket items and one-of-a-kind experiences for our emergency auction which will launch on Monday 24 February. 5. Host a fundraising event - From bake sales to bring and buy, everyone loves a fundrising event. Gather together your friends, family or work colleagues and get creative. 6. Ebay for Hope - Did you know you can sell on eBay to benefit Hope Rescue? Simply visit our Ebay for charity page and list your items.

8. Checkout our online shop - From Snufflemats to doggy bandanas, you can buy lovely gifts for your four legged friend from our online store.

9. Buy a gift from our wishlist - Pick from toys, treats, food, collars, harnesses, bedding, cleaning supplies and other useful items for the rescue. It is a great way to donate and know exactly where your donation is going. Gifts will be delivered directly to the Rescue Centre at the end of each month.

10. Help with the shop repairs and refit - We will need help to get the shop back up and running, including plasterers, professional decorators, carpenters, shop fitters, electricians and more. In the next few weeks we will also be asking for help with volunteering and donations to restock the shop once it opens, but for now, please hang on to your donations and we will announce as soon as we're ready to start restocking.
