If you fancy a unique and special swimming based fundraising challenge then Swim Serpentine 2022 could be for you. We have an exclusive opportunity for our supporters to take on this challenge for Hope Rescue. Whether you are a novice or exereinced in the water, this event has something to offer everyone. You can choose from half mile, mile, two mile or the super six!

Take on the half-mile swim at Swim Serpentine

This event features half a lap of the world-famous lake in London’s Hyde Park and is a great option if you’re looking for an achievable but memorable swim at this iconic venue.

Choose the half-mile distance and you’ll have plenty of time to swim at your leisure with a friend, race the other speedy entrants, or simply try an outdoor swimming event if you’re making the transition from the pool to open water.

Swim a mile in the iconic Serpentine lake

The mile is a classic distance in the world of open water swimming. The one-mile swim takes place on the same course as the London 2012 Olympic Marathon Swimming event, with one full lap around the Serpentine making up the one-mile swim, so you’ll be following in the swim strokes of some of the world’s top open water swimmers.

This is a really popular option at Swim Serpentine, with swimmers taking anything from 20 minutes through to more than an hour to complete the swim.

A two-mile challenge for experienced swimmers

If you’re keen to test yourself by completing two full laps of the Serpentine, this is the event for you.

The two-mile distance is perfect for experienced open water swimmers who’ve already completed a mile swim outdoors – so if that sounds like you, this event offers a challenging two-lap swim in a beautiful location.

Could you conquer six miles at Swim Serpentine?

The event offers experienced open water swimmers the chance to swim six miles in this iconic London lake. If you love the camaraderie of outdoor swimming events but want to go a bit further, this is the event for you!

The Super Six challenge is limited to 50 swimmers every year, making this a really special event.

All event finishers will receive a Swim Serpentine medal after their swim, as well as a souvenir swim hat to wear on the day!
