Danceathon

Get ready to start your day with a burst of energy and a lot of fun! Our two hour Danceathon is the perfect way to shake off the stress, get moving, and have a great laugh with friends old and new. Whether you're a seasoned Zumba enthusiast or a complete novice, this event is for everyone.

We are thrilled to be joined by instructors Emma Jay and Karen Thomas to take us through this high energy event.

We welcome all fitness levels—so don’t worry if you feel a bit out of practice or think you’re not the fittest—you’ll be in great company!

To keep the energy up, we’ll have light refreshments available throughout the event. Plus, we’ve got a raffle lined up with some great prizes waiting to be won!

Tickets cost £10 for an adult and £5 for a child

Here is some more information about our Danceathon instructors:

Emma Jay is a mental and physical wellbeing coach. Every day she helps women who are over 40 rediscover themselves, gain confidence to chase their dreams, become fitter, happier and healthier. Emma has been in the health and fitness industry for 19 years. After dancing for promotions companies and top DJs at events, she opened her own gym to keep her passion for dance alive. Emma taught Zumba and danced at festivals and events until she sold her gym after having her daughter in 2019. Emma has her love for animals and especially dogs and is proud to support Hope Rescue.

Karen Thomas trained as a dancer and has worked professionally across the UK and Europe for over 15 years. When she returned to Wales, she discovered Zumba and qualified as an instructor in 2011 teaching regular classes in Swansea for over 6 years. Karen then moved Cardiff and after the birth of her daughter, started her own Dance Fitness classes using the skills learnt as a Zumba instructor, her professional dance experience and her extensive teaching experience to create her own easy to follow routines which are open to all abilities and fitness levels. Karen takes weekly Zumba classes at Pentyrch Rugby Club on Tuesdays at 6:15pm and 7:15pm.
