Wales will be in a national, ‘firebreak’ lockdown for 17 days from 6 pm on Friday 23 October until 9 November.

Our rescue centre is currently closed to the public as part of our local lockdown restrictions, so this will not change. We will continue to rehome and accept dogs for intake remotely, although this will be restricted to local rehoming opportunities to avoid long journeys wherever possible.

If you find a stray dog within Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC, Bridgend CBC and Vale of Glamorgan Council (west) please ensure you contact the appropriate dog warden service for collection and do not bring direct to the rescue centre. The relevant numbers are:

Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC - 01443 425001 (weekdays after 5pm and all day on weekends and Bank Holidays: 01443 425011)

Bridgend CBC - 0300 123 6696

Vale of Glamorgan (West) - 0300 123 6696

Our support staff will be working from home during this period and it may take longer for us to respond to your emails, messages and social media queries. We are still receiving an unprecedented number of adoption application forms, so we would be grateful for your continued patience.

The charity shop remains closed whilst we finish the restoration works following the Storm Dennis flooding. We are making progress and if the works are completed on time, we are hopeful of an opening date during week beginning 9 November.

Progress at last!

We are very grateful for your support over the last few months. It has been a real struggle and the future remains uncertain but we are determined to keep our doors open for the most vulnerable dogs in our local community.
