The perfect home

We highly suspect they were littermates as although they had a strong bond it was unhealthy for them both and so we have worked hard to build their confidence away from each other and they are now ready to be rehomed separately.

Ken is a sweet but anxious boy who doesn’t appear to have experienced much of the world around him. He seeks lots of reassurance from his handler and again we are working hard to teach him to turn to his handler when he needs some extra support. He enjoys his walks but will benefit from quieter walks away from streets and busy dog walking areas as he builds his confidence, new owners will need to be patient and give him time to stop and take it all in. A positive reward-based approach to training will help build a good relationship with Ken and help him enjoy his learning.

Ken is social with other dogs but he currently tips into inappropriate play quickly as this is all he’s ever known with Barbie. We are currently teaching him to wear a muzzle so he can build up positive relationships and make new dog friends. He will need to be the only pet in the home while he builds up his social skills. Ken will need an adult only home with understanding owners that will give him time to settle into a new home.

Ken is a big softy and enjoys snuggling up with his people, he also enjoys playing with his toys. Ken will need some ongoing support with his lead walking skills but is making excellent progress.

Could you be the supportive home Ken seeks?
