Welcome to Hope's Fundraising Blog 2021! We are excited to start our new year blog and share with you all of our supporter's amazing fundraising stories.
We rely on the passion and support from our local community and incredible fundraiser's to help Hope Rescue continue to save the lives of dogs in need across south Wales. As you know, the impact of the pandemic has been dramatic, with our rescue centre closed to the public and volunteers; our charity shop, still reeling from the effects of Storm Dennis, was closed and in need of a full refurbishment. With our fundraising events cancelled, the boarding kennels closed, and our shop out of action, we took a significant and immediate hit on our income, losing around £1,000 a day.
The support from our local community has been outstanding, with their fundraising ideas reaching new limits! Alex and Dolly are running 50 miles through January, Lily at Wild Tails is doing a 1 million step challenge, even the NHS are dedicating their own fundraising to Hope Rescue and these are only a few! We cannot thank you all enough for your support and passion.
Please read more to find out about our other fundraising success stories. We will be uploading a new, inspirational story each week, so make sure you check it out.
