A big vote of thanks goes to Support Adoption for Pets and Pets At Home Newport for nominating us for their Spring Fundraising Drive.
We were delighted to collect a cheque for an amazing £1,162 which was a lovely surprise.
Our Rescue Manager Ali and volunteer Gina are pictured with Manager of PAH Newport, Rich, along with Hope dog Barnaby who recently had a tumour removed. Rich and the team are always so welcoming and we love doing our Meets and Greets at the store.
We are recruiting a Manager for our first charity shop, in South Wales. This is a pivotal role in the delivery of our fundraising strategy, reporting direct to the Board of Trustees.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are re-advertising this position. Please do not apply if you have previously expressed an interest in this role.
Please help us with one big push to win as many votes as possible. Voting must close at the end of this month, so there is only a couple of weeks left.
We will be having a stall at this great day out and we would be grateful for any volunteer help on the day even if you can only spare an hour or two.
We will also need some doggy deli bakers too.
Please email email@example.com if you can help.
Please support our fundraising events this month.
If you would like to volunteer to help at any of these events, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
SEVEN puppies left orphaned when their mother died giving birth, have been saved thanks to the swift action and teamwork of local vets and Hope Rescue.
Hope Rescue's new charity shop premises have already been put to good use even before the development work has begun.
Pop Up Shops are being held at the Taff Street shop every Wednesday and Saturday until the premises have been fitted out and all interior refurbishment work has been completed.
Hope Rescue has been short listed as a regional finalist to receive an award from the Jewson Building Better Communities fund. There are grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 on offer, with the main prize being £50,000. A total of 63 projects across the country have made it to the short list, with 9 in Wales.
Please come and visit the Hope Rescue stall at the Bargoed Spring Fair on Saturday, 11th April.
The event takes place in Hanbury Square, Bargoed, South Wales, CF81 8QQ and is open from 10am to 4pm
The Hope Rescue stall will have lots of great items for sale, including homemade crafts and doggie deli.
In just one week we have been called to help a litter of 7 orphaned pups whose mother had very sadly died during a C-section and two pups with broken legs.
This week we have taken into our care two puppies with complex leg fractures: Sally, a 4 month old Yorkie cross puppy (top left) and Emma, a 4 month old Collie/Lurcher puppy (top right). Both were surrendered at our vets and are now with orthopaedic specialist vets Alphavets for surgery to repair their fractures.
