Third Sector Cymru Awards 2017

We feel very proud and honoured to share the good news that we have received both the Good Governance and Most Admired Organisation awards at the prestigious Third Sector Cymru Awards announced recently.

Receiving any award is always good, but to know that the work of Team Hope has been recognised in this way is extremely humbling.

Our philosophy is always to recognise the achievements of the team, rather than singling out individuals, so a huge 'Hope Thank You' goes to everyone who has supported us over the years.

Crabtree & Evelyn Shopping Event

We are holding a Crabtree & Evelyn discount shopping event at their flagship store in The Hayes, Cardiff on Friday 2 March 2018, between 6pm and 8pm.

All proceeds from the evening will help us to care for dogs in need in South Wales.

This is perfect timing to buy a lovely gift for Mother's Day on Sunday 11 March. Why not bring your mum along on the night too?

Tickets are just £5 and you will also receive:

Aviva Community Fund - Exciting News!

We have just received the amazing news that we've been awarded £25,000 from the Aviva Community Fund for our sensory garden project at our rescue centre. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us!

The sensory garden will comprise a secure dog-proof fenced area at the top of our garden orchard, containing scented plants, water features, sand, gravel and textured surfaces, calming sounds and stimulating toys and agility equipment.

Fundraise for us - and challenge yourself

There are many ways you can help us make a difference by undertaking your own fundraising, or with your friends and work colleagues. We have suggested some ideas here - just let us know what you are doing and we can provide any support and promotion needed.

Or why not take part in one of our fantastic challenge events during 2018?

Whether you want to trek or run, swim or slim, we have an event to suit you.

A New Year's Message from our Chair of Trustees

"As we say goodbye to 2017 and welcome in 2018 I just wanted to say a few words. Although I had volunteered for Hope Rescue for a number of years, it was not until I became a Trustee last year and then Chair of Trustees in March of this year that I truly realised just how much hard work goes into running a rescue. Much of that work is largely unseen by the public but without that selfless dedication, unwavering enthusiasm and at times, utter stubbornness, of staff and volunteers alike to help dogs in need, we would not be where we are today.

Cosy Kennels Appeal

Donate to our Cosy Kennels campaign to give all of our rescue dogs a wonderful time this Christmas, including a stocking stuffed with treats and a scrummy turkey dinner.

Hope Rescue is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to all of the stray and abandoned dogs in our care. Your donation will ensure that all of the dogs in our rescue centre will be able to share in the festive spirit and have some extra treats to enjoy.

Hope Rescue Calendar

The Hope Rescue 2018 calendar is now available to buy. It includes stunning photographs of some of our rescue dogs and would make a lovely Christmas gift.

You can buy the calendar at our charity shop in Pontypridd, at our rescue centre in Llanharan or you can order online here.

Price £5 each or 3 for £12.50.
