Waggy Welsh Walk 2017

Our first Waggy Welsh Walk on Barry Island, South Wales was a great success. Over 80 dogs and their human companions joined us for a moonlit stroll along the coastline and helped to raise over £2,000.

The spirit and atmosphere were epitomised by dogs like 16 year old Ludo, shown here. He came into Hope Rescue's care via Social Services as his owners could no longer care for him. He had a chronic skin condition, with eye and ear infections that needed long term multiple treatments to improve. He's totally unrecognisable now and had a real spring in his step as he joined in with dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. Not bad for an older gentleman!

The money raised will help Hope Rescue to care for stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs across South Wales.
