Urgent appeal for information

We are appealing for information to help locate the owner of a family of four Yorkshire Terrier dogs that were left at a stables in Abercwmboi, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Alongside the little dogs there was a handwritten note asking that they be taken care of and giving their names.

Jessie, Sweep, Sooty and Ben were all taken to the local authority pound where they will be kept for seven days before moving into our care.

Vanessa Waddon, Chair of Trustees of Hope Rescue, explained why we want to trace the owner: “We are concerned because the owner cared enough to leave them in a safe place with a note, so we are worried that they may need support too, or have other pets in need.

“We would urge anyone who thinks they may know where these little dogs came from to contact us. All calls will be treated in strictest confidence.”

The dogs will be given any veterinary treatment necessary and will move into foster homes when they leave the pound.

The owner has been located and is in poor health. So we will rehome the dogs when they are ready and will make sure that we find the right homes for them.
