Don't Send Cards This Christmas - Help Us Raise Money Instead

At this time of year we're all busy writing and posting off lots of Christmas cards so why not try something different and donate the cost of cards and stamps to help Hope Rescue dogs? You can see the cards available here:

As a new feature this year, you can also post e-cards to Facebook and donate the cost of greeting cards to us!

Charity Shop News

Our temporary charity shop is now open! You can find it in Market Street, Caerphilly (no. 4a) next to Brinsons, opposite the Twyn Community Centre. We will be operating from there while our shop in Pontypridd is being totally refurbished. You can see how our shop in Pontypridd is taking shape here.

Volunteer Foster Coordinators Needed

Currently all of our dogs are placed in a foster home to be assessed before being rehomed. This helps us find the perfect forever home that meets with the dog's requirements. If you are passionate about dogs, a good communicator, enjoy supporting and helping others and can dedicate your spare time to rehoming a dog in need, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Charity Shop News

Our intention has always been to do a complete refurbishment of our charity shop in Pontypridd. We are delighted to say that we have just had some good news – we have been successful with our grant applications for the work. In total we have been awarded £138,192 from Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC Pontypridd Townscape Enhancement Programme and the Welsh Church Act Fund.

Time to Celebrate and Say Thank You

We are pleasesd to announce that we have now broken through the £10,000 mark for our Rescue Centre Appeal.

The Justgiving appeal, offline donations and the Crowdfunder combined total now stands at £10,152.88. We still have a number of Hope Heroes and organisations busy fundraising, special events organised such as a pop-up shop in Caldicot, the current online auction and a soon-to be-launched raffle.

Four New Trustees Join Hope Rescue

We are pleased to announce the appointment of four new Hope Rescue Trustees, who are all based in South Wales, and who join our existing Board of Vanessa Waddon, Paula Rowe and Kate Needham. As many of you will know, this is a very exciting time for us as we embark on our first major capital project, buying our very own rescue centre. The new Trustees will play a key role in delivering this project, and also in shaping our future strategic direction.

Have Your Say

We will shortly be refurbishing our charity shop in Pontypridd, which will include a dog friendly coffee shop, pending a decision on grant funding. As part of this we need to gauge local opinion on its current use, our future plans and how you think we can improve.

We are also keen to find out whether there is interest in some exciting new community activities we have planned, including craft and baking workshops and craft and natter groups.
