Petplan and Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Charity Awards 2017

Nominations are now open for the Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards 2017! The awards celebrate outstanding animal charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK who go that extra mile to help rescue and rehome animals in need. These awards provide an opportunity to recognise the dedication and commitment of charities and give pet owners a chance to say thank you.

If you think Hope Rescue, our staff and volunteers have gone the extra mile then this is a great way to show your appreciation by nominating them. The categories are:

Need Last-Minute Christmas Cards?

Did you forget to send a card to someone and think it’s now too late? Don't worry, you still have time to send an “e-card” instead.

Please take a look at the cards you could send electronically and donate the cost of greetings cards to the Hope Rescue dogs. The money will go to our fabulous Rescue Centre project and is a wonderful paperless green solution!

A Special Gift

We really do have some wonderful supporters - photographer Edyta Rice has produced a stunning calendar of Welsh landscapes and is donating her profits to us. The calendar would make a lovely gift for someone - or a present for yourself!

Please visit her Facebook page to see the incredible photographs that she has taken for the calendar and place your orders - it will make a great Christmas gift and at the same time will help our dogs.

Don't Send Cards This Christmas - Help Us Raise Money Instead

At this time of year we're all busy writing and posting off lots of Christmas cards so why not try something different and donate the cost of cards and stamps to help Hope Rescue dogs? You can see the cards available here: www.dontsendmeacard.com/ecard/r8DV

As a new feature this year, you can also post e-cards to Facebook and donate the cost of greeting cards to us!

Charity Shop News

Our temporary charity shop is now open! You can find it in Market Street, Caerphilly (no. 4a) next to Brinsons, opposite the Twyn Community Centre. We will be operating from there while our shop in Pontypridd is being totally refurbished. You can see how our shop in Pontypridd is taking shape here.

Volunteer Foster Coordinators Needed

Currently all of our dogs are placed in a foster home to be assessed before being rehomed. This helps us find the perfect forever home that meets with the dog's requirements. If you are passionate about dogs, a good communicator, enjoy supporting and helping others and can dedicate your spare time to rehoming a dog in need, this could be a great opportunity for you.
