Local people rally round to help injured dog

Local people came to the aid of a dog that was thrown from a car in Torfaen. The young dog, thought to be a Saluki Lurcher cross, was caught and then kept safe until the dog warden could take him to a local vet. When examined, he was found to be suffering from osteoarthritis and serious problems in one hip with severe muscle wastage. On top of that he was skinny, covered in fleas and riddled with worms.

Could you support us by becoming a Trustee?

To complement the current strength of our Board of Trustees, and as part of our succession planning, we are looking for engaging and dynamic professionals to join our charity, to lead us through the next phase of our development.  As a Trustee of Hope Rescue you will have the chance to help shape the strategic direction of a small and well-respected charity and not only ensure it continues to help dogs in need, but also that it maintains high standards of governance.

Boarding Kennels at the Hope Rescue Centre

At Hope Rescue we are licensed to board dogs and have a dedicated block of 20 kennels for boarding customers at our centre in Llanharan. The boarding income supports the day to day running costs of our busy rescue centre. After a busy summer we now have vacancies. The boarding charge is £16 per day, or £27 for two dogs sharing (up to Staffie size). The dogs are cared for by our experienced welfare team and are walked daily in our private 18 acre woodland, or can have off-lead exercise in our secure paddock.
