The start of December heralds the annual #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving something back. Many retailers in the UK have taken up the idea of Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday online shopping. But #GivingTuesday is a charitable alternative to the start of the Christmas shopping season, a time for people to kick off the festive period with a day of giving and making a commitment to charity.
#GivingTuesday aims to bring people together and encourage acts of kindness - from volunteering and one-off donations to making a regular commitment to a good cause. On a personal note, it also gives small charities like us an opportunity to say “thank you” to our supporters and volunteers for their dedication and hard work.
Throughout the day we will be using social media to share stories about our work and the people that make it happen and hopefully they will inspire others to also get involved.
We have also set up a special #GivingTuesday Justgiving Page. You can help us celebrate our 10th Anniversary and make a festive donation – any amount however small will make a difference. If everyone who reads this and our social media posts donates just £1 we’d be on our way to our target of £1,000 in no time! We’ve chosen that amount as it’s £100 for each year we have been helping dogs.

You can also donate by simply texting TUES66 and an amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070. Or by Paypal;firstname.lastname@example.org
