We are recruiting a Manager for our first charity shop, in South Wales. This is a pivotal role in the delivery of our fundraising strategy, reporting direct to the Board of Trustees.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join Hope Rescue as the charity shop has only just opened and therefore he/she will have a direct input into its development. This will include liaising with contractors to fit out the shop and office accommodation, ordering stock and developing a staffing roster. The Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the charity shop, supervising a Deputy Manager (when appointed) and volunteers working within the shop.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience of the charity retail sector, be a self-starter and able to run a retail operation which will include training and managing volunteers. He / she must be capable of managing a busy workload, able to prioritise tasks and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and will be based at the shop premises in Pontypridd, South Wales.
Salary range: £15,000 to £17,000 per annum, depending on experience. The package offered will also include further formal training opportunities and a generous annual holiday allowance.
