Hope Rescue will be making an appearance on the Adaptil Crufts stand on Saturday, March 12.
Two of our Trustees, Vanessa and Kate, will be joining their Hope dogs Poppy the 8 year old Patterdale and Fflur the 2 and a half year old cross breed.
Poppy came into Hope's care seven years ago as a heavily pregnant stray, giving birth on Christmas Day. Vanessa's parents were visiting on Christmas day and fell in love with Poppy and ended up adopting her once the pups went to their new homes!
There appears to be a worrying trend of finders holding on to stray dogs rather than phoning the dog warden or taking them to the pound. Although this may be very well-intentioned, there are unscrupulous people out there who will try to falsely claim found dogs. This reinforces the need to ensure that stray dogs are dealt with in accordance with the law.
We will be at Pets At Home tomorrow in Newport from 10am - 4pm.
Please pop along if you can to help us raise funds and awareness or just to say hello, we would love to see you there.
A huge 'Hope Thank You' goes to Lush in Cardiff for hosting a Charity Pot weekend to help raise funds for us.
It was a fantastic day with lots of Hope Rescue dogs coming to help (along with their humans). The staff at Lush were really supportive and they thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We will be holding a Spring Fayre at Mount Pleasant Hall, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran on Saturday 5th March between 12.30 and 3.30pm.

This Mother's Day why not send your dog-loving Mum the best gift of all – a heartfelt e-card and donation to Hope Rescue.
Simply click on the link below and follow the easy instructions.
There are a lovely range of cards to choose from and you can add your own personal message. Sending an e-card is far more environmentally friendly too. The best part though is that your donation will be going towards the costs of caring for the Hope Rescue dogs.
Madge asks if you could please give a little bit extra on this Leap Day.
Last week we took delivery of a huge donation of food from the wonderfully generous people at Lily's Kitchen.
As you can see, Sonny and Emily certainly look suitably impressed!
If you have any unwanted Christmas presents, why not put them to good use?
We are always looking for donations for our charity shop in Pontypridd.

We would like to wish all our volunteers and supporters a very Happy New Year.
The past year was aother successful one for Hope Rescue and our dogs. Our volunteers, staff, supporters, the rescues that help us, the companies we work with and our grant funders have all ensured that we not only helped a total of 641 dogs last year, but also that they received the very best care. And we also managed to open our first charity shop! The figures break down as follows:
