We have now been in our rescue centre in Llanharan for four months and it has certainly been a steep learning curve for us all. After some teething issues we have reviewed our adoption process and public opening times. Taking into account visitor, staff and volunteer feedback we have some concerns that we are not offering our visitors and potential adopters the best customer experience possible. We also have some concerns about the welfare impact of an "open house" viewing policy on our lovely rescue dogs. Taking the above concerns into account we will be implementing some important changes which will take effect immediately. If you wish to view the dogs for adoption, or wish to apply for a specific dog, you will need to first submit an online application form. We will then ring you for a chat and if appropriate, we will arrange an appointment to come and meet the dog(s) at the centre (between 12 noon to 4 pm any day except Wednesday). This will ensure that a member of staff, or adoption volunteer, is available to have a proper discussion with you to help find the right match. It also means we will have the time to properly introduce you to any suitable matches. If you are unable to complete a form online for any reason you can also ring our centre on 01443 226659 to make an appointment to come in and fill one in. The centre will still be open for visitors during opening hours to drop off donations, enquire about volunteering etc. Details of our dogs for adoption and the online application form can be found here.
