Sponsor a Long Term Foster Dog from as little as  £5 per month (or just over £1 per week)

Hope Rescue has a number of long term foster dogs in our care. These are dogs that cannot be rehomed due to either their age, medical condition or behavioural issues. They will remain in one of our foster homes for the rest of their lives, and Hope Rescue will meet all the costs associated with their care. If you choose to sponsor one of our long term foster dogs then your sponsorship will go towards their care and the care of hundreds of other dogs we help every year.

You can help by sponsoring from as little as £5 per month (equivalent to just over a £1 per week). Just £1 per week really will make a big difference to the work that we do with pound, stray and unwanted dogs and will be very much appreciated by us and especially the dogs!!

As a Thank You, in return you will receive a sponsorship pack which will include:

A Certificate featuring a photograph of your chosen dog, a Hope Rescue fridge magnet, Hope Rescue pen, Hope Rescue keyring, car sticker, leaflet describing our work and regular updates.

Ideal as a gift for any occasion - or treat yourself!

It's easy to set up, just follow the 3 steps below:

1)  To Sponsor, Just choose one of our long term foster dogs to appear on your Certificate:

Madoc

Madoc is a 16 year old Rough Collie who found himself in the pound at the age of 14 years after his elderly owner died and the family no longer wanted him. Luckily, Hope Rescue took him into our long term foster programme. He needed some dental work, and was neutered, as well as needing supplements for his arthritic joints. He is happily in foster with his 2 collie cross sisters, and the numerous foster dogs that come and go with foster parents Yvonne and Darren.

 Danni

Danni is a 10 year old Doberman who came into our care with four other dogs, each with various issues. Danni spent her life kennelled having been used for breeding. She has had several mammary tumours removed, and her foster mum Di is working hard to get some extra weight on her as she came in very underweight. As you can see, she certainly knows what the sofa is for even though she had never lived in a home prior to coming into our care! A gentle, sweet and loving girl.

Bella

4 year old Bella came back into our care in a very poor condition. After 7 weeks she was thought well enough to  have a haematoma on her leg drained. Sadly, that didn’t prove to be as straightforward as we all believed. A phone call from the vet explained that the haematoma was a strange lump which was sent for histology which showed a Grade 2 mast cell tumour. Bella was treated at the Small Animal Hospital, Liverpool University. Unfortunately, because of the position of the tumour it could not be completely removed. Bella will stay as a long term foster while we wait to see what the future and further treatment brings. We all have everything crossed for Bella, who did not grumble once throughout her long and painful treatment

 Sam

Sam is our ASBO Yorkshire Terrier! He came into our care aged 10 years after his elderly owner died and the family coould not care for him. He needed extensive dental work, and it was soon  clear that he was also blind. His blindness does cause some behavioural issues and he tends to act then asks questions afterwards, so don't be fooled by the cute exterior! Fortunately for Sam  he found a very understanding and commmitted foster dad in Phil, and the pair are inseperable.

Jez

We were asked to help with Jez, a handsome gent who was much loved but had been diagonosed with possible Cushings and the family were unable to keep him. Jez went to a lovely foster home and after blood tests was indeed found to have Cushings. He will need regular tests and medication for life. The medication is controlling his symptoms and Jez is a typical happy, smiley, squiggly little piggy Staffie who is very much a part of the family and enjoying life to the full.

Dino

Dino is a perfect gentleman, everybody that meets him falls in love. The vet thinks he is about 12 years old and he is starting to show a bit of wear and tear. He does have some arthritis in his back legs and will need heart medication shortly. He came to us in a very poor condition but since being in his foster home, he is gaining strength and condition by the day and is really enjoying life. He loves his walks and cuddling up to his foster mum and his foster brother and sisters.
