Whizz is a 6 year old Lurcher who came into our care as a stray. He is a very sweet and sensitive boy who is very affectionate to the people he knows. Whizz shows signs of separation related anxiety so is finding kennel life upsetting as he is desperate for company. Whizz enjoys his walks and a gentle potter about but he doesn't need a large amount of exercise. He could live with a female dog but is a bit uncomfortable around other males. Whizz would prefer to live with older children due to his sensitive nature and will need an owner who is there most of the time who can slowly help him get used to being alone. Whizz is such a gentle character and he will make a wonderful companion in the right hands.
Whenever dogs comes into our care they are assessed before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck is required, and you will need to come along to the centre to meet the dog with your own dog(s) and family. Our adoption fee is £200.
