Snowy is a 5 year old lurcher. She can be a little sensitive on first meeting but once she builds her confidence she is a very affectionate. Snowy has three legs but this doesn't slow her down! She is still a very active girl who loves zooming around the field at top speed. She is deaf but is still very responsive and advice on training a deaf dog can be provided by the welfare team at Hope Rescue. Snowy does have a high chase drive and so will need a home without small furries and away from livestock. She does mix with other dogs and has some friends here at the centre but isn't very confident in her mixing so can react if a dog is too full again. Again we can provide support to her new owners with regards to this.
Snowy would like a home with older children and ideally someone with experience of her breed type. She has been waiting for a new home for a while and will make a very loving companion.
Whenever dogs comes into our care they are assessed before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck is required, and you will need to come along to the centre to meet the dog with your own dog(s) and family. Our adoption fee is £200.
