Megan

2 Year Old Female Border Collie
Megan is a 2 year old border collie. When Megan was found she was in quite poor condition  - very dirty with sores around her neck as if she has been kept on a chain or outside for some time. Megan is a bright and active dog who loves to be around people and dogs she knows. Megan is deaf and is learning lots of hand signals at the moment.

Megan has been in a foster home during her time with us and her foster carers have worked really hard to help her settle. When she is anxious, confused or stressed she can show repetitive behaviour such as shadow chasing, pouncing and fence running. While this is improving all the time, she will need a patient owner who can continue working with the staff at the centre on this. While Megan needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation it needs to be the right kind - if she becomes too over stimulated she finds it very hard to relax again.

Once she knows you Megan is affectionate and a joy to be around.

Megan is looking for an adult home, due to her need for a calm environment. She may be able to live with a well adjusted dog.  Megan is housetrained and travels well in a car.

Whenever dogs comes into our care they are assessed before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck is required, and you will need to come along to the centre to meet the dog with your own dog(s) and family. Our adoption fee is £200.
