6 Week Old Male Crossbreed

Jack is a 6 week old Crossbreed puppy, possibly Staffie x Collie Lurcher, and is currently on foster in Wigan, Greater Manchester. He is still under assessment further details will be added in the next 2 weeks.

Jack, and his sister Wendy, came into our care after being found in a bin by a member of the public and taken to the pound. They will be rehomed separately and are in foster with dogs and cats and will be well socialised with people.

They are very frightened at the moment and in poor condition with little fur and hot spots and scabs; possibly the result of a flea infestation and poor living conditions. They will visit the vet for a full check up on Monday after a couple of days of good food and warmth and safety to settle in.

Puppies need to be neutered at their new owner’s expense. Neutering is a condition of adoption and something we follow up to ensure it has been completed.

We do not rehome puppies to full time workers

Puppies must also be taken to training classes and this will be followed up. If you do not know of training classes in your area please research this before you contact us about rehoming.

Whenever a dog comes into our care we ensure that they are with their foster carer for a minimum of 2 weeks before they are rehomed. This is because the majority of our dogs come from the council pounds with no previous history and we need this initial assessment period to see what sort of temperament and personality they have and their needs from a new home. Once this information has been submitted by the foster home we then look at the interest forms we have received in advance and try to make the closest match for the dog’s individual needs. We do not work on a first come first served basis and we do not reserve dogs in advance. Some dogs can have a lot of interest and we try to find the perfect home for each dog.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. We have a suggested minimum donation of £160. A Pre-Home Interest Form should be completed and returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
