Henry is a 6 year old lurcher. He came into us a from another rescue as he wasn’t getting any interest. When Henry first arrived at his original rescue he was in very poor condition - underweight with lots of wounds and sore skin. He is looking much better, although he still has some weight to gain and some skin to heal. Despite a poor start in life Henry is very friendly and enjoys meeting people. He is also lovely with other dogs, very respectful but enjoys a play if he is invited to do so! Henry doesn’t need a huge amount of exercise - he loves a burst where he can run around the field at full speed but then is happy to come home and cuddle up. He can live with older children. We don’t know if Henry has ever lived in a home before and so he may need some support settling in. However he is very keen to learn and would love all the comforts which come with a home. Black lurchers and greyhounds are very often overlooked but please consider applying to adopt Henry as once you meet him his lovely personality will shine through.
Whenever dogs comes into our care they are assessed before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck is required, and you will need to come along to the centre to meet the dog with your own dog(s) and family. Our adoption fee is £180.
