Emily is a 5 year old crossbreed. She is Hope Rescue's longest serving resident having been in our care since 2013. Emily can take her time to trust new people and needs a patient owner who will let her build her confidence in her own time. She is an active girl who enjoys her walks. Emily is very well socialised with other dogs and helps us at the centre to build confidence in those who are worried by other dogs and also to teach appropriate play to those dogs that are a bit boisterous! She could happily live with another dog or dogs.
Emily copes very well in the kennel environment as she thrives on routine and predictability. Therefore ideally her new home will need to be quiet without young children and without many visitors, especially while Emily adjusts to the new environment. Full support on introducing Emily to her new home and to strangers will be given by the Welfare Team at the centre.
Emily is a real staff favourite and is affectionate and a lot of fun once she gets to know you. She very much deserves to find an understanding and loving new home.
Whenever dogs comes into our care they are assessed before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to adoption. A homecheck is required, and you will need to come along to the centre to meet the dog with your own dog(s) and family. Our adoption fee is £200.
