We always need Volunteers in the following areas:
Foster Carers
We have a number of dogs coming from homes or in kennels that would benefit from a foster home. Foster homes are the most effective way to evaluate our dogs and bring them back to health both mentally and physically as well as teaching them some basic rules. Fostering is a rewarding experience as many dogs come in timid and scared and leave their foster homes as happy and well adjusted family pets. For more information on fostering please see Here
Transporters
The nature of our co-ordinating role means that much of our work involves moving dogs from the pounds or our kennels to their rescue spaces. We have a network of volunteer transporters who use their own vehicles to safetly transport the dogs. All transporters are covered by our Public Liability Insurance and if required we will also cover transport costs. We also need van drivers aged over 25 years with a clean driving licence to drive our fully kitted out van. Can you help transport a Rescue dog to safety? For more information, please see Here
Home Checkers
Home Checkers are invaluable in making sure that the right dog goes to the right home, If you would like to help but don't have experience we can arrange for you to shadow a home checker in your area. For more information, please see Here
Fundraisers
We are always looking for fundraisers to help raise funds towards our vet, kennel and other expenses. Maybe you could help at a local event or even organise your own event. Perhaps you have a craft skill and could make items for us to sell, or you may have some spare time at home to send emails asking for donations for auctions, raffles etc. Further details of how you can help us fundraise can be found Here
